It's been a month and a half and so many, many things (poetically and otherwise, have steamrolled ahead without me.
The appointment of Charles Simic as our new US Poet Laureate, the big and small things in and around the state. Literary contest deadlines, the annual Write Action picnic and announcements of the Brattleboro Literary Festival and Burlington Book Festival participatants.
Mostly, and just recently, I was moved by this notice in the New York Times or the death of poet Liam Rector, who taught at Bennington College until recently, and the excerpt of the poem the included in his notice. Click here.
