March Quarter Poems: Vernal Equinox

'strue! March Quarter Poems have been sent down to Brattleboro. Pick yours up at The Twilight Tea Lounge. If you have a subscription at Everyone's Books, please pick up there. These four are vernal equinox themed poems.

#45: "wassail" -- originally written at a wassail party in Marlboro where everyone blessed the apple trees with an original poem.

#46: "I hate spring for its caterpillars" -- a fun poem inspired by one I'd read years ago in Green Mountians Review about slugs and marigolds. They day after I printed these, I had a dream about caterpillars.. :(

#47: "hair newly cut is a flirtatious dress" -- some of you might remember this and the night I wrote it in writing group.

#48: "falling song" because when I can't come up with a title, I usually call it a song. Included because despite Spring's approach, about a foot of snow recently fell on my house.

All poems are 25-cents individually, or $1 for the quartet. If you're missing specific numbers in your collection, I can customize a packet for you, let me know.

montpelier, 1st week

It's finally sunny here in Montpelier. Dan and I moved here this past weekend. And all of our obligations in Brattleboro are finished. Now it's on to creating a new life here. If you know anyone in this area that you think I should / would like to meet, please let me know. I'm up for meeting new people. We've been invited to a party this weekend, and so hopefully will be making connections that way. I'm also looking for a job... :)

On the poetry tip: I am getting March Quarter Poems out VERY SOON! Those of you in Brattleboro looking for new issues will be able to receive them soon. I'm currently trying to find the printer that's packed in one of those boxes in my apartment, then I can get it to the print shop. Email me if you'd like Quarter Poems sent directly to your mailbox! I can do this! I can also take payment over the internet! Check out my STUFF page, and click through PayPal.

Actually,SEND ME MONEY ANYWAY---it'll help in this between jobs limbo. Use PayPal or write a check. My Brattleboro address is still valid. I'll post my new mailing address here as soon as I get it.

I've signed up for an online poetry workshop again. And I'm continuing my collaborations, including now cowriting poems with Rolf Parker. Besides unpacking boxes, that's all I've been up to.
